Life update EN
23-10-2025

Hello friends!
Life has been chaotic these days and I haven’t been able to do much on the website.
I’m recovering very slowly but, nonetheless, I’ll be back at work on the 30th.
I’ve been away for two months, and it feels really strange to have been at home for so long.
Now I walk without crutches and, with my physiotherapist’s approval, I’ve started going to the gym.
Last week, Mother got sick and was hospitalized. They’ll probably discharge her tomorrow, even though they haven’t figured out what happened. They say it was a minor stroke, but the MRI shows nothing. What’s certain is that she still sees double and has balance problems. She will have more tests next week.
It scared me — I see that both Mother and Father are starting to show the signs of time passing, and I realize that I need to enjoy the time with them as much as possible.
Sorry for the slightly fatalistic turn this took… now I’m straightening myself up!
I finally have an appointment with the animal behaviorist for Paco, “the serial self-plucker.” Hopefully she will give me tips and advice to help him recover and be calm, because evidently something is bothering him and I don’t know how to help.
Last night I did something I’d been putting off for a while: I gathered all my courage and joined the online meeting of the Homebrew Website Club London, one of the periodic meetups organized by IndieWeb enthusiasts. New situations make me anxious, but it was really fun once I broke the ice.
There’s a nice welcoming atmosphere, a bit like on Mastodon and Nekoweb. The two hours flew by!
I presented a problem I had with a small part of my website, and within a few hours Joe and Benji gave me two wonderful solutions.
I don’t understand much about CSS (I started only a couple of months ago, and I’m also incredibly slow at learning tech stuff), but it’s wonderful to find people willing to help less experienced ones with advice, tips, and valuable code.
If I can fit the schedule, I’d like to participate again. Also, among my acquaintances there aren’t people so interested in the internet, the independent web, and related things;
it’s nice to have a safe space to share these interests. Until the next post!
